"The 2018er Koberner Uhlen Riesling Alte Reben is a barely off-dry wine (with 11 g/l of residual sugar) which comes from 50 year-old vines situated in the south-east facing part of the vineyard, and which was fermented and aged on its fine lees in stainless steel for 11 months. It offers a rather engaging nose made of lemongrass, pear, aniseed herbs, cardamom, ginger, and smoky elements. The wine is slightly ample but still remarkably playful on the tart palate, and leaves a slightly bitter feel of minerals and fine spices in the slightly powerful finish.
